What did leila trabelsi say about the tunisian revolution ?

Leila ben ali, the wife of the late tunisien president has published a book entitled "My truth" in 2012 from the "éditions du moment" to defend herself and to explain what happened exactly the day of 14th junuary 2011, the day of what they called tunisian revolution or the beginning of the arab uprisings.

Leila related what happened the famous day of their departure with the several interpretations made about that situation. She said that she was going with his daughter halima and his son mohamed to the saudi arabia for an "omra" when ali seriati,  the head of Presidential Security, pushed his husband- the president-to go with them that day and to come back the day after but directly after their leaving his family, present in tunisia, were arrested and all their properties were confiscated breaking all the laws in a democratic constitutional state.

She said also that it was not a revolution for injustice or economic difficulties made by tunisian resident but it was a planified putsh by several ministers and senior government directors to make the president leave the country.

Reputed to be eager for power and money, she responds to these accusations made by the Tunisian people against her and her family. She acknowledges their lavish expenses and the complacency of the institutions for the trabelsi family but she firmly denies other accusations like the theft of a yatch by her nephew and her intention to take the leadership of her husband Ben ali.

Leila trabelsi wrote this book for history and the informations supplied gives an idea about how the country has been managed during ben ali's period.
