The story of Leonardo Del Vecchio


Destined to a ruined family in Milan, Italy in 1935, youthful Leonardo Del Vecchio was sent to a shelter at the young age of 7. At 14, he started an apprenticeship at an instrument fabricating plant, grabbing aptitudes and involvement in making molds for displays, and losing some portion of his pointer all the while.

This impairment didn't prevent him from proceeding to become familiar with the specialty and to instruct himself, however, moving to the focal point of the eye-glass industry and establishing a little constrained organization named Luxottica in 1961.

His sharp feeling of business and his faith in vertical joining saw him procure organizations identifying with his industry and making Luxottica the eyewear combination it is today, owning and delivering for various brands and working various circulating retail outlets.
